I started training with Robbie Craig at Warrior 1 in February 2012. I was in the application process for the RCMP and needed some help getting into the best possible shape. We met to discuss my goals and expectations. Robbie assured me that together we could get me to the level that I was hoping to achieve.My first session was all about mobility and discovering the possible limits that my body might have. I felt very looked after and realized that my mobility and injury prevention were very important to Robbie.He wrote me a program that incorporated many exercises that I had never imagined that I would do. Soon enough I was doing things and lifting weight that I never thought was possible. Every session we had was different. Robbie is very creative in making movement combinations to get your heart rate up.In just 7 months my strength, power and speed had increased dramatically. When I left to go to Depot, the RCMP training academy I felt very prepared and ready to work. The training schedule was ruthless there and they pushed us to our maximum and beyond. Because of my work with Robbie I was more prepared to deal with it and I was actually familiar with some of the work that we did. I honestly believe I would not have been able to get through the process or I would have been injured if I had not previously trained with Warrior 1.Warrior 1 taught me about mobility, how to avoid injury and nutrition. I cannot thank Robbie enough for all he has taught me. I continue to be passionate about heavy lifting and also Olympic lifting. Sadly I as an RCMP officer I had to move away from Ontario and now reside in Alberta where I am not able to train with Robbie at Warrior 1. If I were able I would be training with coach Robbie at Warrior 1 at least once a week.Warrior 1 and Robbie Craig made an incredible difference to my life. I would recommend his services to any person who wants to make a major change in their workout routine or even to anybody who wants to learn more about what their body can do. If you are willing to work Warrior 1 is for you, don’t wait, do it now- the iron never lies.

I’ve been a member of Robbie’s gym for almost 2 years. In this time I have changed my ways of thinking drastically. I can remember telling Robbie, “I don’t want to look like a man,” and asking, “why no running?” I waited and trained it out and realized that even after lifting more than my body weight and sprinting my heart out, that you don’t need to jog and do a thousand reps of light weight movements on a machine to achieve the exact same goals and be stronger; much stronger. It takes a leap of faith to change your thinking and move to another convention. But I did and it was worth it! I’m leaner than I was 2 years ago, (with no signs of manly muscles,) and I can open my own pickle jar. It doesn’t get any better than that. Thanks coach!
I have only been training with Robbie for a few months, but in this relatively short period of time, I cannot emphasize enough how much my lifestyle has completely changed thanks to his influence, encouragement and the introduction of new ways of thinking. He has had a profound impact on how I look at food, health and fitness, and my life will never be the same again – for that I will be forever grateful. He introduced me to the concept of Paleo and the Whole 30 and suggested that I read and follow the book “It Starts with Food”, which I embraced wholeheartedly and the result is that I’ve lost weight and have easily kept it off. I’m much healthier, stronger, I feel great and I know now that it’s only going to get better! Robbie is extremely knowledgeable and experienced in fitness and the amount of information he is able to share in regard to nutrition is astounding. He clearly lives what he teaches. He is supportive, highly motivating and always encourages me to go to the next level. Before meeting him I was a bit intimidated about going to see a personal trainer as this was new ground for me, but after spending a single session with him and immediately realizing how completely comfortable and at ease I felt in his presence, any concerns I had, vanished! He always has the answers to my many questions and even checks in with me between sessions, providing valuable tips and additional encouragement. Robbie is fantastic and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend his services to anyone who is ready to change their health and their life, whether they be an experienced athlete or just starting on their path to health like me!
I’ve been working with Robbie at Warrior 1 for almost a year now. I am thrilled with the increase in strength I am seeing, the knowledge I am gaining and the encouragement I receive while training. I was introduced to Warrior1 Training and Robbie about 8 months ago and have been working with him since. As a long time marathoner it was starting to feel like I was doing more and more cardio and getting the opposite results to what I had expected. I was also a vegan with very little protein in my diet. My goal was to get stronger and have my upper body more proportionate to my lower body and to see some better muscle definition.
Robbie really understood what I wanted to accomplish and designed a great program to keep me interested and challenged. I have really enjoyed all of the training and the amount of thought I have to put in to execute the exercise properly. I’ve also really changed my diet and am incorporating clean eating and have started eating better protein sources including chicken. Robbie is really knowledgeable in all aspects of fitness and nutrition. He really challenges you to work hard and push beyond what you think is possible. I would highly recommend him if you are serious about getting into better shape and overall health!

Warrior 1 training is a top notch health and fitness centre. Robbie is hands down the BEST personal trainer I have ever worked with. He is well researched and can offer support in all areas of your health and fitness plan.
I have seen fantastic results and have greatly improved my health and fitness levels. Robbie has provided nutrition and dietary education for myself and my husband. I am the strongest I have ever been and I feel great. I have dropped three pant sizes, and now look toned and fit. The best part about working with Warrior 1 training, is the customization. Robbie created a workout for me to do at home, between visits. There is no need for an additional gym membership, he works with what you have.

Since I have started I have gone from not being able to body weight squat myself to squatting 320lbs, and am deadlifting over 390lbs. Without Warrior1 I would not have been able to do this because I would not know how to do it properly and efficiently. I myself have gone from weighing 175 to 210 and gotten leaner. One thing I like most about Warrior1 is not just the exercise, but it is the knowledge that I have learned from training that I would not know anything about. Even simple things like what to eat or not, how to fix tight or sore areas. My greatest achievement with Warrior1 so far in my training is that I competed in my first Crossfit competition recently and placed 7th against grown men and it was a highlight of my life. The environment there is amazing. Everyone helps everyone out, and no matter how strong or fast you are is of no matter. I would never have the courage to do this if it weren’t for the people at Warrior1. I cannot imagine not training with them and I do not know where I would be without it. It has made me feel healthier and better about myself and I feel it is one of the best choices I have ever made in my life.
